The staff are very attentive, almost to the point of being a tiny bit overwhelming but that is much more preferable to being ignored. The room was very nice and exactly as we'd hoped for - beautiful wood floor (which was creaky and uneven), lovely big bed and warm and clean. The water pressure is a bit hit and miss but we were warned about it and it was very minor.
We had a really delicious meal that evening and enjoyed earwiging to the posh family on the next table (who were there to take little Charles around the local public school). The staff went out of their way to cater for my vegan partner which does not always happen. Breakfast the next day was also very good.
If you're looking for somewhere romantic to eat or stay in the countryside then this is the place.June 20, 2016
